Nutrition Journal Update- Due May 17th
As a class we are setting good goals, however, we are missing the specificity part of our goal setting. Go back to the idea of setting a S.M.A.R.T. goal (Specific, Measureable, Attainable, Realistic and has a Time frame). Without this concept, our goals can be hard to track. Take a look at your goal. Many of you are saying, "I will eat more veggies" or "I will eat less snacks." What does this mean? How many less or how many more? BE SPECIFIC! Revise your goal if it needs to be. If you've already placed an amount on it, for example, "I will eat at least 3 fruits a day," then tell us how you are tracking this goal. Do you write it down? What may help you be held more accountable for sticking to your goal?

I will let myself eat only one junky meal (hamburger, pizza, ect.) a day. However, if I do end up eating more than one, i will go to the gym for twice as long as i usually do. My vegetable intake goal is to eat at least 2 cups of veggies a day. I also need to increase how much protein i eat. I will eat eat one meal consisting of meat a day or have a snack with peanut butter or nuts.
ReplyDeleteMy goal is to eat only one dessert, or one portion of sweets, each day. If I can attain that goal than I will cut it down to only every other day. If I get out of control and eat more than the specified amount, than I will do some workouts to counteract the extra intake.
ReplyDeleteI have decided to drink much more water than usual. One glass before I eat helps me to eat as much as I need, not anything more. Water is also good for you so that's a plus. I also intend to only have desert once every other day(Ice cream, cake, etc.) A sweet snack once a day. I just put a sticky note on the fridge to remind me.
ReplyDeleteI will try to get as close to 8 hours of sleep each weekend as I can, and if this is not possible I will compensate but sleeping in on the weekend. To consume more calcium and protein I could take a yogurt to school if I don't have time to eat it in the morning.
