Nutrition Goal Update- Due May 24th

Do you think tracking a nutritional goal is important or do you feel like it is just "busy work?" In other words, could you stick to your goals without being responsible for writing them down or reporting how you are doing to someone regularly? If you believe that it's important to track your goals, tell us why and how it helps you achieve them. If you believe tracking goals is unnecessary, tell me why. What works for you and how do you hold yourself accountable without tracking?

  1. I don't like tracking goals, but I do think it's important. If there's no accountability and your not checking on your progress, then there's really no point in having a goal at all, because you don't know how well your doing.

  2. Personally i have never been good at goals as far as making them and following through with them. I do it when i am forced to, but I definately won't do it voluntarily. Usually i keep healthy by just keeping myself busy. Obce i start to get bored, thats when i watch t.v, eat alot of food, and not exercise. But as long as I am keeping busy i will eat right and get my exercise in.

  3. Personally I hate tracking goals. I think it can be a good way to make sure you stay accountable. Personally I keep myself accountable but having some sort of reminder. One reason tracking goals doesn't really work for me is that I hate writing.

  4. I believe writing stuff down helps me remember. It works for me at least, most of the time. I hate writing but it helps me remember stuff, which sucks. Tracking goals is important i believe. Just so you can keep track and keep yourself on track.

  5. I definitely think health goals are important, however, they are extremely difficult to stick to! For someone who is a bit on the lazy side, like me, it's difficult to hold myself accountable for what I eat and how often I excercise. That's why I have my brother, who is a total health freak, hold me accountable for my health goals. Not only is he reminding me verbally to be healthier, he is a good example of how I should be health-wise.

  6. I think writing down goals is good and bad. Its very time consuming, and if you have stuff to do it's a waste of time. I believe that I could still track my goals without writing them down, because i still have something to stick to.

  7. It's hard for me to track a goal because I get bored of doing the same thing. It also takes commitment of time and energy and without meaning too sometimes I let them slide as a result of sports and school and other components of life. I can see how keeping a goal is a positive thing however, so I made a more conscious effort this semester.
